Family Christian and its customers have joined together to raise the funds necessary to host a Widows Thanksgiving Praise Luncheon in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Nov. 20 at St. Elmo Avenue Baptist Church and in Savannah, Georgia, at Bethlehem Baptist Church.

“For Family Christian, ‘care’ is an action verb,” said Neff, founder and president of Widow Connection. “It has come alongside Widow Connection in tangible ways—helping us get our message of help and encouragement out. This Thanksgiving we are partnering again. Family Christian is providing Thanksgiving celebration meals for almost 100 widows in Chattanooga and 100 in Savannah. These women have faced the strongest of life’s challenges, and for them, Thanksgiving is a verb, an action word!”

Chuck Bengochea, president and CEO of the nonprofit Christian retail chain, is mission-focused.

“Our goal at Family Christian is to be a mission-driven organization that honors God by making a difference in the lives of orphans and widows, including these in Savannah and Chattanooga,” he said.
