Elevation Pictures’ film Let God won five awards at The Attic Film Fest, including the top award of Best Film. Held April 4-5 in Austin, Texas, the festival showcases the work of independent Christian filmmakers and screened 28 films to attendees.

In addition to Best Film, Let God won Best Feature, Best Director (William Parker), Best Female Performance (Jasmin Jandreau) and the Audience Favorite award. Other winners include the Switchfoot-starring Fading West (Best Documentary, Best Cinematography and Best Musical Score) and Level Path Productions’ Jimmy (Family Film; Ian Coletti and Ted Levine tied for Best Male Performance).

Word Entertainment released Let God on DVD Feb. 25. Last year, the movie also received the Breckenridge Film Festival’s Best Feature and Best Actress honors, was an official selection at the Gideon Film Festival and earned the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for any age.

“From the outset of Let God, we wanted to create a film that would edify and inspire audiences of all stripe,” Parker said. “It’s a timeless story whose message of hope and survival resonates across religious labels and, at its core, is a story of humanity. We are so humbled by the reception and excited to see God working through film as audiences explore deeper meanings of spirituality and faith.”

Let God follows the story of young housewife, Amelia, who heads west with her husband during the 19^th-century gold rush and is left alone without resources in the harsh wilderness when her husband is killed in a savage attack. Battling winter, hunger and the unknown, Amelia must take life into her own hands as she struggles with a loss of faith and battles for her survival.
