A GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter and pastor of Fellowship Chicago, Jenkins was featured in an exclusive interview highlighting his success at combining his passions with his purpose.

“Charles Jenkins is a visionary who understands how to inspire, influence and elevate people of all ages to new beginnings,” said Louis Carr, president of media sales for BET Networks. “His type of leadership is what communities are in desperate need of today.”

The ICON MANN Men of Change program is a partnership between ICON MANN and BET Networks to celebrate the positive impact that black men are making domestically and across the globe. Recipients chosen by the program are heralded as contemporary trailblazers whose formula for success includes empowering others and who credit their personal and professional advancement to their continued investment in philanthropy.

“I am very humbled to be among the youngest on the list of true Icons who are painting positive pictures for what young black men can become,” Jenkins said.

Coinciding with the honor, Jenkins also released “Real Love” by his new group, Inspired People, Feb. 11 on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and Spotify. The video for the single was set to premiere Feb. 12 on BET's 106 and Park show.

Film producer DeVon Franklin, author of Produced by Faith (Howard Books) was also honored as a Man of Change in the program.
