DougAndersonDrive-webStowTown Records is encouraging customers to patronize their local Christian retailer in a new campaign for Doug Anderson’s newest release, Drive (Provident Distribution). As an expression of appreciation to their retail partners, neither StowTown Records nor Doug Anderson Music will have this project available direct from their online stores for the first two weeks of the release. Instead, they will be encouraging fans to visit their local Christian store to purchase the album.

Fans also will be able to reserve their copy beginning Dec. 30, through the Munce store-finder, which will be available on both the label’s website and Anderson’s website. Customers who order in advance and pick up at their local Munce-affiliated Christian retailer will receive an autographed copy of the CD.

“Thank you StowTown Records and The Munce Group for uniting in an exclusive window of retail promotion for independent retail,” said Randy Davis, vice president of
sales & marketing for Provident Distribution. “We continue to seek unique opportunities support Christian retail in local communities.”

The Munce Group will begin the promotion with e-blasts and blog posts written by Anderson in its online magazine, MTL, starting Dec. 30, as well as banner ads on their websites. Anderson will also be performing at Munce’s CPE Event in Hershey, Pa., Jan. 20, the evening before the project releases.

The promotion will also be a featured topic on social media with Anderson's fan base, which includes fans of his solo work, as well as fans of his work in Ernie Haase & Signature Sound—which includes more than 100,000 Facebook fans. Provident Distribution and MTL will feature on their social media as well.
