Retailing ReBoot West (RRW), sponsored by Christian Retailing, has announced the authors participating in the author reception Monday evening of the Oct. 17-18 event. George Thomsen, CBA’s chairman of the board and general manager of Harvest Bookstore in Riverside, Calif., will be speaking, as will Aurelio Barreto, gift director on the CBA board, and founder and CEO of C28 stores and Not of This World apparel.

The author reception, to be held during RRW at Cottonwood Church in Los Alamitos, Calif., will feature: Margaret Brownley, Thomas Nelson; Susan Meissner and Mona Hodgson, Waterbrook Multnomah Publishing Group; Naomi Kinsman and Camy Tang, Zondervan; Michelle Ule, Barbour Publishing; Julie Carobini, B&H Publishing Group; Cynthia Ruchti, Summerside Press and Abingdon Press; Lauraine Snelling, FaithWords and Bethany House/Baker Publishing Group; Lloyd Hildebrand, Bridge-Logos Foundation; Lisa Hale, Carpenter's Son Publishing; David and Lisa Frisbie, Beacon Hill Press; Brian Bradley, Kingdom Comics; and Lauri Khodabandehloo, Barry A. Wood, Randy R. Butler, Jeff Dixon and Gerald Mittmann, all from Deep River Books.

The West Coast event is being held following the success of Retailing ReBoot in Orlando, Fla., in April. Rose Seeley, manager of Cottonwood Bookstore at Cottonwood Church, said that the Orlando event gave her “more practical information and ideas than I have ever got from any one show I have been to.”

Store representatives registering for RRW can bring a second attendee for free, while qualifying attendees will have accommodation and some travel costs reimbursed.

Among the suppliers registered for the event are Crossway, Not of This World, Kerusso, Tyndale House Publishers, DaySpring and Zondervan.
