Mardel store supports military families

Approximately 300 people signed cards for military families who lost loved ones in wars at a Mardel Christian & Education location in in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Commemorating the Memorial Day holiday, a Mardel Christian & Education store in Corpus Christi, Texas invited area residents to sign cards for military families who lost have loved ones in wars.

Store Manager Kevin Goodner told Christian Retailing that God gave him the idea "to bring comfort to those families."

Approximately 300 people have signed the cards, Mardel Marketing Director Kelly Black said. "The store personnel will hand-deliver the cards next week," he said. "The Corpus Christi area has had four soldiers die in combat, and they will deliver the cards to these families."
