Inspirational audiobook winners

Two inspirational titles were among the winners of the 16th annual Audie Awards, announced this week by the Audio Publishers Association (APA).

Fireflies in December by Jennifer Erin Valent (Tyndale House Publishers), narrated by Kate Forbes (Recorded Books), won the Inspirational/Faith-Based Fiction category, while the Inspirational/Faith-Based Non-Fiction prize went to In a Heartbeat: Sharing the Power of Joyful Giving by Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy with Sally Jenkins (Henry Holt and Co.), narrated by the authors, Kathleen McInerney and Rick Adamson (Macmillan Audio).

The two titles were among those honored during The Audies, held May 24 in New York City. Marking excellence in nearly 30 categories of audio presentation publishing, The Audies attracted more than 1,100 entries, breaking last year's record, APA said.
