Randall Wallace—who wrote the Academy Award-winning film Braveheart and directed Secretariat—will be the keynote speaker at the 12th annual Christy Awards, to be held at 6:30 p.m., July 11 at the Hyatt Regency, just prior to the opening of the International Christian Retail Show in Atlanta.

A devout Christian, Wallace will be joined by New York Times best-selling author Liz Curtis Higgs, who will emcee the Christys.

Wallace's other films include The Man in the Iron Mask, Pearl Harbor and We Were Soldiers. Wallace's The Touch, a novel about a young surgeon with amazing skill who has denied his gift, will be released Sept. 1 by Tyndale House Publishers.
