Dove Awards press conference set

The Gospel Music Association has announced that the nominees for the 42nd Annual GMA Dove Awards will be revealed during a press conference Feb. 16 in Atlanta's historic Fox Theatre.

The 2011 Dove Awards will be held at the Fox Theatre on April 20—the first time the show will take place outside of Nashville. The show will air Easter Sunday, April 24, on the Atlanta-based Gospel Music Channel.

Bishop Paul S. Morton, Carlos Whittaker, Francesca Battistelli, LeCrae, Mandisa, Third Day and Sisters will announce the nominees during the press conference, to be streamed live at www.watchGMCtv.com and www.hearitfirst.com.

GMA Chairman of the Board Ed Leonard said that the association has been "working hand in hand with the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau to make sure we have a very eventful and successful awards show debut" in the city.
