Former NFL coach and NBC's Football Night in America analyst Tony Dungy is embarking on a book and media tour this week to promote the release of his third book with Tyndale House Publishers.

To be released tomorrow, Aug. 3, The Mentor Leader: Secrets to Building People and Teams That Win Consistently is Dungy's follow-up to Uncommon and Quiet Strength. In The Mentor Leader, co-written with Nathan Whitaker, Dungy makes a case for the importance of mentoring as a tool for transformation--both in individuals and teams.

Starting tomorrow, Dungy embarks on a nine-day book and media tour, visiting stores in New Jersey, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Georgia and Florida. The tour includes 18 book signings, including several in Christian bookstores. Dungy is scheduled to promote the book on NBC's Today show; MSNBC's Morning Joe; Fox News' Huckabee; Fox News' On the Record With Greta Van Susteren; Fox News' The Sean Hannity Show; ESPN television and radio shows SportsCenter, "Mike and Mike in the Morning," First Take and ESPNews; NFL Network; National Public Radio's "Morning Edition"; Fox Radio's "The Alan Colmes Show"; and American Family Radio's "Today's Issues."

With nearly 1.2 million copies sold, Quiet Strength--released in August 2007--has become one of the best-selling, sports-related titles in history, Tyndale officials said. Uncommon--released in 2009--has sold more than 300,000 copies.
