New Orleans Saints quarterback and Super Bowl XLIV Most Valuable Player Drew Brees' Coming Back Stronger: Unleashing the Hidden Power of Adversity (Tyndale House Publishers) debuted at No. 3 on the New York Times Hardcover Nonfiction best-seller list for the week of July 16.

Released July 6, his memoir was ranked No. 7 on the list for the week of July 23. Chris Fabry, co-author of Ohio State University football coach Jim Tressel's The Winners Manual (Tyndale House), collaborated with Brees in writing the book.

In 12 book signings in seven states that ended this week, Brees signed approximately 22,500 copies of Coming Back Stronger, Tyndale officials said.

Octavia Books in New Orleans sold approximately 1,200 vouchers for the book to fans who arrived in droves July 26, The Times-Picayune reported. "This is the greatest number of books we've ever sold at one time," owner Tom Lowenburg told the newspaper. "And (Brees) is only here for an hour and a half. Just think if he could be here for three hours."

Besides Brees' memoir, Tyndale has released several football-related books that have made the New York Times best-seller lists, including The Winners Manual; First Things First by former NFL star quarterback Kurt Warner and his wife, Brenda; Game Plan for Life by NFL Hall of Fame member Joe Gibbs; Uncommon and Quiet Strength by retired NFL coach Tony Dungy; and Don't Bet Against Me! by Deanna Favre, wife of NFL star quarterback Brett Favre. With nearly 1.2 million copies sold, Quiet Strength--released in August 2007--has become one of the best-selling, sports-related titles in history, Tyndale officials said.
