Hachette Book Group has announced the hiring of two new senior level employees in its New York office. Kate Hartson has been named senior editor for the Center Street imprint, and Andrea Glickson has been named marketing director for the FaithWords and Center Street imprints.

"These appointments help fulfill the strategic realignment we announced last month," said Rolf Zettersten, senior vice president and publisher for FaithWords and Center Street. "We are excited to have strengthened our team with such experienced and dynamic publishing professionals."

Hartson most recently built her own small publishing company, Yorkville Press, where she published New York Times best-selling author Dean Koontz and created books for nonprofit organizations. She also served as vice president and executive editor at Time Life Books. As vice president at Random House, Hartson created the Wings Books hardcover reprint program and published more than 60 best-selling authors.

Glickson most recently served as director of publicity and marketing for Octopus Books USA. Her prior experience includes 14 years at Workman Publishing as director of publicity and director of marketing.

As another step in Hachette's realignment, Editor Christina Boys in the company's Nashville office will now focus exclusively on acquiring fiction for FaithWords and Center Street.
