Munce Group Chief Operating Officer Kirk Blank has been named president of the Indian Rocks Beach, Fla.-based retail marketing group.

Bob Munce, owner of the Munce Group, said Blank had been with the company 10 years and "consistently done an outstanding job. I appreciate Kirk's dedication to Christ, his work ethic, his leadership skills and his family life."

As president, Blank will be responsible for overseeing activities within the Munce Group, MTL (More to Life) Media and the company's trade shows--CPE (Christian Product Expo).

Munce will continue to perform corporate financial and strategic duties on the group's board. "I plan to remain involved in the industry and to attend industry events as usual," he said. "I'm not retiring. I want to keep this company moving forward and relevant. That's why I want younger but mature leadership running the Munce Group."

Blank, who began his career in the Christian product industry 21 years ago, served for 11 years in various leadership positions with Family Christian Stores. Blank joined the Munce Group in 2000 as vice president of marketing and has served as chief operations officer for the past six years.

"It is a great privilege to serve this industry," Blank said. "I am also grateful to the Munce family, who has given me this opportunity. Bob Munce has had a significant impact on my life as a boss, mentor and friend. There is remarkable potential for independent Christian retailers and Christian product suppliers. I look forward to continuing our mission and vision at the Munce Group in this new role."

Founded in October 1991, Munce Group serves more than 560 member stores in 49 states and Canada.
