Mary Mary, who won Favorite Inspirational/Christian Contemporary Artist in 2005, was also nominated for Favorite Band, Duo or Group in the Soul/Rhythm & Blues category. Mary Mary has already been recognized this year with a GRAMMY, Dove Award and NAACP Image Award for the album The Sound (Columbia Records/Provident-Integrity Distribution).

Heath, who won three Dove Awards earlier this year, received his first AMA nod.  "I've been watching the AMAs for years-never thought I'd have the honor of being a nominee," he said.

For the third year, winners will be determined by online voting. The 37th annual AMA show is to be broadcast live by ABC from Los Angeles at 8 p.m. EST, Sunday, Nov. 22.
