In a rare move for a Bible, The American Patriot's Bible has surged as high as No. 5 on Amazon.com's overall Top 100 Books list. The Thomas Nelson Bible was on the list for five consecutive days and also rose to the top of Amazon's Bibles & Other Sacred Texts list.

Along with support from online Christian retailers, conservative talk show host Glenn Beck has mentioned the Bible on his radio program and in a television appearance. The patriot's Bible-whose general editor is Richard G. Lee, founding pastor of Atlanta's First Redeemer Church--reveals how faith has impacted the overall formation of the United States.

"Our research and experience tells us that Bible buyers typically prefer to listen to the views of their trusted sources as well as explore the pages of Bibles before they make a purchase," said Gary Davidson, Nelson's senior vice president and Bible group publisher. "Thomas Nelson Bibles has made a concerted effort to ensure that sampling is available online and that we are developing Bibles and Bible-related products that supporters and customers will want to share with others. Landing in the overall books Top 100 is a great honor as it lets us know that we're accomplishing this goal, and the Bible is resonating with media influencers and online reviewers."

Traffic to the AmericanPatriotsBible.com Web site has seen a 300% increase in visitors, based on Google Analytics reports.
