Several Christian suppliers are encouraging generosity during the gift-giving season by offering extras with their products. When NewSong's latest CD, Give Yourself Away (His Honor Music/EMI CMG Distribution), releases Nov. 24, shoppers will receive an extra copy of the project to give away in a campaign that encourages charity and evangelism.

Meanwhile, Bardin & Marsee Publishing, creators of the new Waterproof Bible, launched a BOGO (Buy One, Give One) program last week. When a customer purchases one of the Bibles--available in the New International Version or King James Version--the Birmingham, Ala.-based publisher will donate a Bible to a distributor, who will then send it to someone in a Third World country.

Bobby Bardin, co-developer of the Bible, said he was "especially passionate about getting this better-designed Bible into the hands of those in developing countries, where the people often face harsh environments and living conditions."

Elsewhere, Thomas Nelson Publishers is offering a free two-day event pass to a Women of Faith conference--a $99 value--with the purchase of select premium Bibles from the Nashville-based publisher.

Nelson's 20 Bibles in the promotion include the King James Version (KJV) Signature UltraSlim and New King James Version (NKJV) Signature UltraSlim editions, KJV Signature Pocket Companion Bible, Chronological Study Bible, NKJV Study Bible: Large Print Edition, NKJV Woman's Study Bible and KJV Study Bible.

"By partnering with Women of Faith, we are able to offer an opportunity for women to experience an event that gives life application of biblical principles, encouragement and hope in a safe community environment," said Carla Ballerini, vice president of Thomas Nelson Bible Group Marketing.

Launched in 1996, Women of Faith has drawn more than 4 million women to its two-day events, which feature speakers and musicians. Since 2000, Women of Faith has been a division of Thomas Nelson.
