Zodhiates was a veteran missions leader and noted biblical Greek authority. His works include the Modern Greek New Testament and the Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible (both AMG Publishers). Zodhiates authored numerous exegetical books in both the Greek and English languages, and for many years he was heard daily on the "New Testament Light" radio program, AMG officials said.

In 1946, Zodhiates came to the United States from his native Greece at the invitation of the American Mission to the Greeks, now known as AMG International. Zodhiates became president of the organization in 1966. Based in Chattanooga, Tenn., since 1978, AMG International is involved in evangelistic and relief endeavors in 55 countries. AMG Publishers publishes Bibles and Christian books and publications.

Zodhiates is survived by Joan, his wife of 61 years, four children, 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
