Uncommon: Finding Your Path to Significance by Tony Dungy (Tyndale House Publishers) placed at No. 2 on the New York Times Hardcover Advice list for the week of Feb. 12.

Released Jan. 27, Uncommon is the third consecutive Dungy book to reach the list, following his Quiet Strength (Tyndale, 2007) and You Can Do It! (Little Simon Inspirations, 2008), which hit No. 1 on the Children's Books list.

Tyndale rolled out 250,000 copies of Uncommon--co-written with Nathan Whitaker and featuring the former NFL coach's "legacy" message.

Dungy recently completed a 13-store book tour that featured stops in New York, New Jersey, Indiana and Florida. He was also featured on the CBS' Late Show With David Letterman, NBC's Today show, ABC's Good Morning America, FOX's FOX & Friends and On the Record With Greta Van Susteren.

Dungy, 53, retired Jan. 12 after a 31-year NFL career, becoming the first black coach to win a Super Bowl after guiding the Indianapolis Colts to victory against the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI to close the 2006 season.

Uncommon marks the fourth sports-related Tyndale title that has made the New York Times lists, joining Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel's The Winners Manual (2008), Deanna Favre's Don't Bet Against Me! (2007) and Quiet Strength, which reached No. 1 on the Hardcover Nonfiction list. With more than a million copies sold, Quiet Strength is one of the best-selling, sports titles in history, Tyndale officials said.
