Four prominent trends in jewelry have been named by leading trade publication and jewelry authority JCK at the JCK Las Vegas Jewelry Show that ran June 4-7.

This year's jewelry ranges from unusual, geometrically shaped pieces to intricately designed animal pendants, bright patterned bangles and oversized cuffs.

Eye-catching colors and patterns are in, as is nature's flora and fauna, which is appearing in the form of heavily bejeweled rings, brooches and intricate pendants.

Oversized cuffs, densely layered bangles and giant pendant necklaces have made their way into top designer lines.

"Oftentimes people are apprehensive about wearing bold or different jewelry, but it's a great way to put some character into a look," says JCK Editor Nancy Sidewater.
