Scripture graces vintaged designer jeans

Justin Jenkins' Christian apparel business has legs ... his 316 Jeans was established after he realized that while there were many Christian clothing companies offering T-shirts, no one was selling anything for the bottom half of the body.

Since founding his company in 2007, Jenkins has launched three designs-Genesis 21:12, "God is with you in all that you do"; Matthew 19:26, "With God all things are possible"; and a pair designed with the Christian biker in mind, John 3:16, "Ride with Jesus."

The fitted, handmade, Diesel Denim cotton used for the jeans has detailing and is vintaged. The front, right hip pocket includes the lasered Bible reference, and the written-out Bible verse or saying is lasered down the middle of the left front leg. A custom ichthus is embroidered on the outside back  pockets along with copper cross rivets.

The jeans feature belt loops, hidden buttons, five pockets and a straight leg cut. Sizes for women range from 24W-31W and 26W-36W for men. Retail prices are $40 per pair, and additional designs are being planned for Christmas 2009.
