Warner-Press-logoWarner Press announced Friday that Rev. Joe Allison is retiring from his position as editorial director, discipleship resources and curriculum. He was responsible for overseeing the editorial development of curriculum, periodicals and discipleship resources.

Allison is retiring from a career of nearly 45 years in spent Christian publishing. He was first hired by Warner Press in 1971 and later worked for Thomas Nelson Publishers, Zondervan Publishing House and Evangel Publishing House. In 2004, he went back to Anderson, Indiana, to become the publishing and creative services coordinator for Church of God Ministries, where he coordinated the publishing ministry of Church of God Ministries. Allison returned to Warner Press in 2014.

Regina Jackson, vice president of product management for Warner Press, commented on Allison’s legacy in publishing.

“Throughout his career, Joe has been driven by a desire to see others know Christ better and become more like Him,” Jackson said. “The books, curriculum and discipleship resources Joe has worked on over the years have made a lasting impact on countless lives. We are thankful for his years of dedication and service and the legacy he leaves behind, not only for Warner Press and Church of God Ministries but also for Christian publishing as a whole.”

With Allison’s retirement, Kevin Stiffler, adult curriculum editor, will assume responsibilities for editorial development of curriculum and discipleship resources.
