Art & SoulWorks has announced the upcoming launch of licensed products related to Mark Burnett and Roma Downey’s epic History Channel miniseries, The Bible. 

Themed bookmarks and pocket cards will begin shipping shortly, a display will be ready in early December, and posters will be available in January. Retail prices range from $1.95 to $9.95.

The miniseries has been seen by more than 100 million viewers, and Burnett and Downey’s Son of God movie also will be in theaters Feb. 28.

Even with such traction, Art & SoulWorks Owner Carol Corneliuson said licensing the miniseries products was “not an instant decision for us.”

“After 10 years of working exclusively with Akiane and Prince of Peace, I was not certain about representing a Hollywood version of Jesus,” Corneliuson said. “However, while seeking the Lord for direction, there was a clear message, ‘This time it is not about the Messenger; it’s about the Message. It’s harvest time!’ With that confirmation, we moved forward quickly to develop our initial offering of 10 bookmarks and five wallet-card designs. Each bookmark comes with a special Son of God wallet card with salvation invitation on the back to help ‘get the message out.’ ”

“The Bible is an epic story about love, betrayal, sacrifice and hope—emotions we can all relate to!” she added. “Since a picture is worth 1,000 words, we have designed our initial offering around themes that are intended to spark conversation—with ourselves, with others and ultimately with God.”

Prepack TB 702 includes 25 pocket cards, five each of five titles; 50 bookmarks, five each of 10 titles; along with display and header, for $159.
