Worthy hires marketing veteran for vice presidency Print

Wayne-HastingsWorthy Publishing Group has hired Wayne Hastings as senior vice president of marketing and research & development.

Hastings served as a senior vice president of marketing at Thomas Nelson, after which he was promoted to senior vice president and publisher of Bibles, reference & curriculum. In that role, he led the development of several best-selling and award-winning products and campaigns, including the Chronological Study Bible, The Word of Promise Audio Bible and the Million Bible Challenge campaign. 

For Worthy, Hastings served as associate executive editor and marketing consultant on The Jeremiah Study Bible, which has sold nearly 300,000 copies in its first two years.

Hastings will work with Worthy’s marketing team, including marketing managers Caroline Green and Heather Hulse as well as the director of public relations, Morgan Canclini. The marketing group supports Worthy’s trade book program and the Inspired, WorthyKids/Ideals and Ellie Claire imprints.
