Several key Christian books were honored at Foreword Reviews’ 2014 INDIEFAB Book of the Year Awards, judged by a select group of librarians and booksellers from around the country and announced at the American Library Association Annual Conference in San Francisco.

Representing hundreds of independent and university presses of all sizes, INDIEFAB winners were selected after months of editorial deliberation with more than 1,500 entries in 63 categories.

Presence and Encounter: The Sacramental Possibilities of Everyday Life by David G. Benner (Brazos Press/Baker Publishing Group) was honored with the silver award in the Body, Mind & Spirit category of the 2014 Foreword Reviews IndieFab Book of the Year Awards. Meanwhile Craig Harline's Way Below the Angels (Wm. B. Eerdmans) won the gold award for Religion-Non-Fiction.

Abingdon Press took home silver and bronze awards for Religious Fiction, with Cynthia Ruchti's All My Belongings and Deborah Raney's Home to Chicory Lane winning the accolades, respectively. David Cozzens' Master of Ceremonies (In Extenso Press) received the gold award for the category, while Michael K. Reynolds' Song of the Shenandoah (B&H Publishing Group) earned an honorable mention. Kregel Publications' Making Marion by Beth Moran won the gold award for General Fiction, and The Traitor’s Heir by Anna Thayer won the bronze award for Fantasy Fiction.
