Carpentree-WarRoom-webCarpentree is releasing 18 new products with scripture and quotes from the Kendrick Brothers’ new film, War Room, releasing Aug. 28. Sony Pictures Entertainment’s TriStar Pictures, distributor of Soul Surfer, Courageous and Heaven Is for Real, will release the PG-rated film. War Room explores the power that prayer can have on marriages, parenting, careers, friendships and every other area of life.

Carpentree’s new line offers several ways to encourage and remind people that God does amazing things when His people pray. The line is anchored with a recognizable wall hanging featured in the film entitled “Answered Prayers.” This piece allows people to write in and record their answered prayers just as Miss Clara (Karen Abercrombie) does in the movie.

In addition to the framed wall décor, Carpentree is offering plaque sign designs that feature scripture and movie-related themes. Two different looks will appeal to movie goers. One is designed with the movie’s branded colors and the other has a softer, more feminine look. Both themed designs offer quips from the movie or scripture that supports the movie’s overall message: Prayer is a powerful weapon. Each item is designed to open spiritual eyes and strengthen the believer’s faith.

“Our sales and product team previewed the movie and were very excited to plan these two new lines, which will debut in June at ICRS," said Jordan Hobson, national sales director. "Whether your customer is looking for a strong scripture about prayer or just wants to hold onto a movie quote that impacted their life, they will find it among these new gifts. The Answered Prayer wall hanging will be a reminder of God’s faithfulness and point people to God as it hangs in homes.”

Bill Fowler, director of business development, added: “Stores will want to cross-merchandise these gifts with other War Room items. All the licensing partners are working together to maximize this movie’s impact in the Christian community and beyond.”
