New sales data from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association has spotlighted the continued growth of e-books.

The publishers trade group has added tracking of digital sales to the monthly revenues information it gathers from member companies, with 10 companies that sell e-books reporting that the category has grown an average of 450% for them, year to date.

E-book sales in May comprised 5.52% of all sales, while from January through the end of last month, they accounted for just over 4.5%. Print sales for the same 10 publishers were down an average 1.9%, year to date.
