Johnny

, an inspirational drama about loss and how one young boy's mission makes a difference for a family struggling to find their way back after a tragedy, was recently released on DVD by PureFlix Entertainment.

The film tells the story of Dr. Drew Carter (Mel Fair), who loses his 10-year -old son in a car accident while his wife, Julia (Musetta Vander), was driving. After the accident, Julia becomes emotionally absent from Drew and their daughter, Kayla (Aubyn Cole). When Dr. Miller (Lee Majors) refers Johnny (Jerry Phillips)—a foster child with leukemia—to Dr. Carter, he sees a chance to heal his family. But Julia is opposed to the idea of adopting the terminally ill boy.

Released April 5, Johnny "will move your heart and soul with its message of redemption, salvation and forgiveness," the Dove Foundation said. "It is a film that shines brightly with hope, and it has great appeal for families. Every family should see this movie."
