Kids and teens who need a little more incentive to read just got it from Tyndale House Publishers. Running June 1-Aug. 31, the publisher’s Summer Reading program offers an opportunity to earn rewards for reading designated books and writing about them online.

Those who sign up for the program get points toward free books as they read from the summer reading list and then share their thoughts about the books on personal blogs, retail Web sites or social media sites.

For every five books read, readers will earn one free book. The three readers who have the most points at the end of the summer will win $50 gift cards to use toward the purchase of books. Everyone with at least one point will be entered to win an Amazon Kindle e-reader.

The mix of titles—some new and some older—include Dark Horse from the “Starlight Animal Rescue” series by Dandi Daley Mackall; Arin’s Judgment from “Passages” by Paul McCusker; and Aaaargh! from “TJ and the Time Stumblers” by Bill Myers.

To participate, kids and teens can sign up by clicking here.
